Color mapping is a tool Vicount frequently uses to compare scan data to the original part data to check for discrepancies. It is a useful tool in tryout to show us exactly where forms may need to be morphed in order to bring a part into tolerance.
Color maps can confirm what a CMM or other conventional measuring techniques cannot. Saving costly time and resources relying on information that is just not correct.
